Position Overview We are seeking a skilled
Building Automation Technician
to support and maintain the Building Management Systems (BMS) at our state‑of‑the‑art pharmaceutical facility in New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the site’s automation systems, with a strong focus on
Siemens Desigo
and
Tridium Niagara
platforms. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of HVAC, utilities, and environmental systems that directly support pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain the site’s Building Automation Systems (BAS), including Siemens Desigo and Tridium Niagara.
Troubleshoot system issues, perform corrective actions, and escalates complex problems to engineering or vendors as needed.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance on BMS hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Assist in system upgrades, programming changes, and integration of new devices/equipment.
Collaborate with facilities, engineering, and quality teams to maintain compliant, energy‑efficient, and reliable site operations.
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, Electrical, Controls, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience with BAS/BMS systems, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated environment.
Hands‑on experience with
Siemens Desigo
and
Tridium Niagara
platforms.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, instrumentation, and controls.
Ability to read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Willingness to work on‑site full time with occasional after‑hours or weekend support as needed.
