Job Title:
AML Analyst (SAR Writing & Investigations Required)
Location:
New Castle, DE (Hybrid)
Duration:
6-Months+ with possible extension
We're hiring an
AML Analyst
with
hands‑on SAR writing and financial investigations experience . This role is ideal for candidates who have independently reviewed alerts, conducted AML investigations, and drafted Suspicious Activity Reports in a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review and investigate customer transactions for potential suspicious activity
Conduct AML investigations using internal bank systems, public records, and external databases
Analyze transactional data and financial statements to identify unusual patterns
Independently write and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in compliance with regulatory requirements
Document findings, research, and conclusions in the case management system
Follow up with internal and external points of contact to support investigations
Recommend account retention or closure when required
Partner with internal compliance teams, business units, and law enforcement as needed
Required Qualifications
1-5 years of AML/BSA investigations experience
Strong SAR writing experience (required – resumes without SAR experience will not be considered)
Experience reviewing customer transactions and alerts for suspicious activity
Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, including FinCEN SAR requirements and OFAC
Preferred Qualifications
CAMS certification
Experience working in banking or financial services environments
Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, FRB, and USA PATRIOT Act requirements
