Job Overview As a
Policy Quoting & Agency Support Specialist
at Monoline, you’ll play a dual role—balancing both precision and customer service.
Part of your time will be spent on our
transfer project , reviewing existing insurance documents, creating accurate policy quotes, and releasing those quotes according to each client’s unique process. You’ll also provide
front‑line agency support , assisting agents via phone, live chat, and email to ensure every interaction reflects Monoline’s commitment to fast, professional service.
Each day begins with a brief
morning huddle
on Slack or Google Meet with the team to review outstanding items, align on the day’s priorities, and check in on progress. Some days will focus primarily on quoting, while others will center on agency support, depending on workflow and priorities.
Key Responsibilities Policy Quoting
Review Documents: Analyze clients’ current insurance documents to understand coverage and pricing.
Prepare Quotes: Generate detailed quotes within Monoline’s quoting platform.
Ensure Accuracy: Verify all quotes for completeness and correctness.
Release Quotes: Send finalized quotes to the appropriate recipient (agent or client) based on the documented process for each agency.
Data Tracking: Maintain accurate records of quotes, releases, and communication using internal trackers and Excel spreadsheets.
Agency Support
Front‑Line Assistance: Answer incoming calls and live chat messages via Intercom to assist with system access, billing, and general inquiries.
Email Support: Respond promptly and professionally to agent emails.
Troubleshooting: Guide users through system navigation or login issues.
Escalation: Identify and elevate technical or complex issues to the appropriate team member.
Qualifications Experience
Prior property & casualty insurance knowledge is helpful but not required.
Experience reviewing insurance declarations pages or preparing quotes is a plus.
Customer service experience, particularly in a virtual assistant or remote support role.
Technical Skills
Comfortable using tools like Slack, Gmail, and Intercom for virtual communication and support.
Experience managing chat‑ and email‑based customer interactions.
No insurance license required (though it’s a bonus if you have one).
Professional Skills
Strong written communication for clear, professional correspondence.
Ability to follow structured processes precisely and maintain consistency across clients.
High attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive client information.
