Summary:
Looking for a Network Grooming Program Manager.
Responsibilities:
You will primarily be providing oversight for the company’s large, decommissioning project to migrate traffic and remove all equipment/ services from a central office location.
You will be partnering with executive leadership and your project team of engineers to prep, test, and perform maintenance on the broad range of network technologies that are current running in this location.
By the end of 2026, or sooner, all routing must be diverted from the entire site.
You will play a heavy hand in coordination and scheduling efforts for the team and ensure leadership is aware of any bottlenecks, delays, etc.
You will provide read outs and status updates for leadership real time and on a weekly/ monthly basis, and ensure the project engineering team makes any adjustments needed based on demand.
Additional tasks will include team member oversight/ management, coordinating with onsite contacts and creating/ managing project related to timelines, resourcing, process, access, etc.
Qualifications:
Targeted Years of Experience: 7+ years
Knowledgeable in related network technologies/ equipment (Layer 1):
SONET (OC3, OC12, OC48, OC192)
TDM- Copper (DS0, DS1, DS3, SW voice trunks, PRI)
Ciena (4200, 6500, etc.), Fujitsu/ Flashwave SONET, Nortel MUX, Optera, and DXCs (Tellabs, Alcatel, Titans)
Prior Client’s system experience (BGW, TCOMS, Maintenance Tracker, etc.)
Desired Skills:
Well versed on central office environments
Strong experience with circuit order activation, scheduling, and coordination
Vendor management experience and executive reporting
Strong background leading projects related to network turn downs, provisioning, grooming, activations/ implementations, and maintenance
Preferred Skills:
Cisco/ Juniper Routers
GIG- E, 10G, 100G, 400K, PIP
Pay Transparency:
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $55.00 – $60.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
