Future Scholars Early Learning Center is seeking a Preschool Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction and create a safe, engaging learning environment for young children. The role involves helping the lead teacher with lesson planning and instructional activities, communicating with parents, and maintaining classroom order.
Daily Responsibilities
Assist with small group instruction and classroom activities
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and behavior
Implement differentiated instruction and instructional strategies
Conduct parent conferences to discuss student development and goals
Support the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and lesson planning
Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma; college-level coursework in education or a related field
Experience in early childhood education or a related field
Ability to manage classroom behavior and support students with disabilities
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Understanding of Common Core State Standards
Knowledge of child growth and development, appropriate classroom practices, and demonstrated ability to assist with instructional activities
Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., a negative tuberculosis test, etc.)
Enrollment may require successful completion of communicable disease, child abuse, CPR, first aid, and/or behavioral management training
Compliance with drug‑free workplace rules and board policies
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver, or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment
