CTG is seeking to fill a Platform Engineer position for our client.

Location & Duration Location:

Phoenix, AZ

Duration:

12 months

Responsibilities

Build and support scalable platform services using Go (preferred) and Java.

Develop and deploy containerized applications in Docker and Kubernetes.

Implement messaging and streaming technologies using Kafka.

Utilize observability tools including Prometheus, Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, and Jaeger.

Work with gRPC, REST, and HTTP/2 for service communication.

Manage configuration and secrets using Consul and Vault.

Support modern datastores such as Redis, Couchbase, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL.

Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git-based version control.

Participate in Agile processes and perform testing using JUnit, Cucumber, and Postman.

Skills

Strong Go (Golang) or Java development experience.

Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux.

Experience with Kafka, distributed systems, and microservices.

Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks.

CI/CD experience with Jenkins and Git.

Experience

5+ years in platform engineering, software engineering, DevOps, or related roles.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
