Nutrition Operator
Location: Inova Fair Oaks Hospital – 3600 Joseph Siewick Drive, Fairfax, VA 22033. Online applications accepted only.
Schedule: Full‑time; days may vary (6:20 am–2:20 pm). Rotating weekends required. Details discussed during interview.
Pay: $17.95 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $750, paid 1/2 at 90 days and 1/2 at 180 days.
Requirement: Prior experience in food service and customer service is required.

Job Summary Responsible for securing patient meal selections and special requests and needs via telephone or face‑to‑face interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follow proper telephone etiquette and procedures with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
Offer menu alternatives that align with prescribed diets, including allergies, sensitivities, and cultural or religious preferences.
Respond promptly to patient needs, resolve concerns or complaints, and report necessary assistance to supervisors.
Comply with dietary restrictions on special or modified diets to meet patient preferences within diet order limits.
Coordinate with nursing to ensure accurate diet prescriptions and meet patient food needs.
Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights policy as outlined in HIPAA procedures.
Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and departmental sanitation procedures.
Follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety.
Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
