Location: Valencia, California. Compensation: $17.00 - $18.50 / hour. Full‑time. Workplace: Onsite. Reporting to Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Determines method of shipment.

Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.

Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects pre‑assembled containers.

Inserts items into containers.

Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.

Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.

Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Routes items to departments.

Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience operating a forklift (certification preferred).

Ability to work overtime when needed.

Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.

Determines method of shipment based on product type and destination.

Examines outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.

Records shortages or discrepancies and communicates with the purchasing department.

Maintains accurate shipping and receiving documentation.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting pay for this role is targeted to be between $17.00 and $18.50 per hour.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining, cost of living, schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. In many cases, candidates may be paid at different points in the stated range.
