The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine/Jewish Hospital invites applications for a critical care intensivist who is interested in an academic career. The successful candidate will have experience working in cardiothoracic critical care and managing patients in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Experience with VAD, ECMO, Impella, and transplant patients is preferred. Clinical time in a primary area of certification (e.g., Anesthesiology) can be accommodated. A nocturnist schedule can also be accommodated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Direct patient care (80%)
Teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers (20%)
Additional considerations: Clinical time in a primary area of certification (such as Anesthesiology) can be accommodated. A nocturnist schedule can also be accommodated.
