Job Summary Clark Nexsen is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team of Marketing, Communications, and Business Development professionals. The role involves contribution to creative and strategic efforts across vertical and horizontal market sectors. The ideal candidate is curious, detail‑oriented, creative, and able to manage multiple priorities while demonstrating a proactive, team‑collaborative attitude.
Responsibilities
Pursuit Development:
Support capture planning, proposal development, and market research efforts.
Maintain CRM database of opportunities, projects, clients, contacts, and campaigns.
Proposal & Content Development:
Create, edit, and maintain marketing materials with strategies, including proposals (general & SF330), statements of qualifications, award submittals, white papers, presentations, and marketing collateral.
Review materials for strategy, compliance, and grammar.
Provide production, assembly, and delivery support.
Cross‑Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with marketing, communications, business development, and technical teams to develop market‑specific content for web, email, social media, news, and blogs.
Create and maintain up‑to‑date project descriptions, personnel resumes, and more by interviewing staff, drafting content, collecting photography, and ensuring technical accuracy.
Brand Ambassadorship:
Represent the marketing department internally and the firm externally through professional organizations and teaming partnerships.
Coordinate and support outreach activities including client events, industry tradeshows, conferences, and other public relations initiatives.
Order and track inventory of proposal supplies and promotional items.
Required Skills

Required Experience
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Business, or a related field with 1‑3 years of relevant experience recommended.
Without a degree, 2‑5 years of professional or internship experience in the A/E/C industry required.
Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) credentials may be given additional consideration.
Prior professional or internship experience in a related marketing, business development, or public relations role within the A/E/C industry.
Experience with development of A/E/C proposals, including SF330, Virginia AE, or SF254/255 formats.
Strong command of industry‑standard design and business applications:
Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
CRM platforms like Microsoft Dynamics
Digital asset management systems (e.g., Open Asset) is a plus.
Working Conditions At JMT we prioritize a healthy work/life balance and offer a flexible hybrid schedule. The selected candidate is expected to work in a JMT office location at least three days per week or as needed. While most work is desk‑based, occasional standing, walking, bending and lifting of minimal weight may be required. Our office environment is comfortable, well‑lit, and free from hazards.
