Overview
Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a mid‑level associate with a minimum of three years’ experience to join its commercial litigation group in Los Angeles. Candidates with clerkship, law‑firm experience, and expertise in complex litigation—especially consumer class actions, trademark, and trade secret matters—are preferred. Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills are required.
Responsibilities
Draft pleadings, motion briefs, and briefings for summary judgment, preliminary injunction, and class certification motions.
Research and prepare support for contested motions and opposition memoranda.
Take depositions, propound written discovery, and respond to discovery requests.
Argue motions before the court and represent clients at trial.
Qualifications
Member or pending member of the California State Bar.
Minimum three years’ experience as a commercial litigation associate managing cases.
Preferred experience: clerkship, law‑firm litigation, trademark and trade secret matters.
Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.

Compensation The annualized salary range for this position in California is $255,000 to $330,000. Full‑time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with optional HSA, long‑term disability, dental, vision, life insurance, healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 10 paid holidays, and an employee assistance program. Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation each year. Additional voluntary benefits include voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long‑term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and transit programs are also available.
