Job Description Engine Vision Media is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events and Marketing Manager to lead the planning, execution, and promotion of our signature events and support integrated marketing initiatives across print, digital, and social channels. This mid-level role is ideal for a creative self-starter with strong event production skills and a passion for brand experience. This is a customer-facing role where you will be engaging with brands from ideation to post event coverage.
Key Responsibilities Events Management
Lead planning and execution of Orange Coast’s and Pasadena Magazines signature events from ideation through post-event analysis.
Work alongside LA Events Director for planning and support of LA events.
Manage event timelines, budgets, production schedules, vendor negotiations, and logistics.
Coordinate with sponsors and partners to ensure seamless brand integration and deliverables.
Oversee permitting, insurance, contracts, and venue coordination.
Support on-site execution, including setup, staffing, and guest experience management.
Collaborate with editorial, design, and sales teams to align event goals with brand values and audience.
Spearhead sponsorship decks and call with sales rep to increase revenue.
Marketing & Promotion
Develop and execute marketing/ticket sale plans for events across email, web, print, and social platforms.
Manage creation of promotional materials, invitations, signage, and digital assets.
Work closely with the digital team on email newsletters and web updates (e.g., OC Now and social media).
Help conceptualize new sponsorship opportunities and sales materials for the advertising team.
Generate recap reports for stakeholders and clients.
Assist in Print Special Sections production across three publications, collecting material and communicating with clients on the proof process.
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in event planning, marketing, or media-related roles.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a passion for logistics and audience engagement.
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with WordPress, Mailchimp/HubSpot, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and attending evening/weekend events.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.
