Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology

Required Skills:

• Medical license to practice in Virginia or eligibility for licensure
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
• Proven experience in inpatient and outpatient oncology care
• Strong clinical skills in adult patient management
• Ability to oversee Nurse Practitioners and collaborate effectively
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Willingness to participate in research studies and enrolled patient management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in clinical research or enrollment of patients in studies
• Prior experience with hospital call coverage
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems beyond EPIC

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution
• At least 3 years of outpatient and inpatient oncology experience
• Current DEA, State Medical License, and board certification in Hematology/Oncology

Other Requirements:

• Availability for coverage from January 19 to January 30, 2026
• Willing to handle inpatient and outpatient oncology cases for adult patients
• Reliable transportation for occasional travel reimbursements if applicable
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
