Database Engineer - Qlik Replicate/ETL

Reason for Need:
Sunsetting Qlik Replicate and moving to Qlik Cloud.
This role requires a seasoned senior Database Administrator (DBA) with deep experience managing data replication platforms, particularly Qlik Replicate both cloud and on‑premises environments. The individual should also have hands‑on experience with Oracle GoldenGate and advanced SQL skills across a range of database technologies. Experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting services (SSRS/SSIS/SSAS) is a plus.
Qualifications and Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain data replication strategies using Qlik Replicate across hybrid environments (AWS, on-prem, mainframe).
Experience with Qlik Cloud and migrating from on‑prem Qlik Replicate to the cloud.
Design, implement, and support the QLIK ARC (Attunity Replicate Connect) solution; manage mainframe replication support with Qlik.
Solid understanding of batch and real‑time replication.
Light ETL for replication.
Support, monitor, and tune performance of databases, replication tasks, and reporting services.
Develop and maintain documentation for database architecture, configurations, and processes.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for data and replication issues.
Participate in upgrades, patching, and migrations with replication tools (Qlik, GoldenGate).
Work closely with data governance, security, and compliance teams to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance.
Experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication (23AI preferred).
Experience with Oracle Veridata comparison tool.
Knowledge of replication across multi‑heterogeneous databases and multiple datacenters (on‑prem and cloud).
Collaborate with business and technical teams using Qlik replication, light ETL, and CDC processes.
The position also includes daily production support for the SQL Server database infrastructure on Windows Server and Linux operating systems, virtualized on V‑Sphere using VMware. Responsibilities cover maintaining standards, documentation, backup and recovery, design and implementation of physical data storage, virtualization, patching, capacity planning, security administration, performance, availability, data integrity, BI infrastructure support, and troubleshooting.
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree and minimum 6 years experience as a SQL Server DBA in an enterprise data center, OR
High School Diploma or GED and minimum 10 years experience as a SQL Server DBA in an enterprise data center.
Additional Requirements
Provide oversight, mentoring, and leadership to less experienced staff.
On‑call support for production, root cause analysis.
Assist development teams with development, testing, tuning, and implementation of database applications.
Experience with virtualization of database platforms and environments.
Proactive monitoring of database instances to ensure high availability and performance.
Strong technical abilities and quick learning, good judgment, effective communication.
Available for 24 × 7 on‑call rotation.
Team‑oriented, excellent written and verbal communication.
Other Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Tableau, QlikView, and Power BI.
Experience with virtualized databases on VMware.
Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
Experience with SDLC processes.
Relevant certifications are a plus.
