JR4938STV is seeking a **Transportation Engineer** to join our team in either **Franklin or Chattanooga, TN**.
This position offers excellent potential for career advancement as this individual would assist staff and our other offices who have a direct impact on the improvement of our national infrastructure. The ideal candidate is an individual who desires to be part of a team, displays confidence, and possesses a vast understanding of roadway design principles.Responsibilities include:* Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the TDOT and local County/City agencies.* Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, typical sections, superelevation data and miscellaneous roadway detail sheets.* Designing to adhere to ADA Standards.* Coordinating design development and providing technical direction and mentorship to the design team.* Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget, and the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages.* Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.* Maintaining relationships with client technical staff and project managers.* Attending project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team.Required Skills:* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.* Professional Engineer (PE) license encouraged.* TDOT and municipal client experience is a plus.* Minimum of 5+ years of transportation design experience.* Proficient with MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads modeling design software.* OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus.* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.* Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is required.* Strong oral and written communication skills.Compensation Range:$80,965.27 - $107,953.69STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (16 days) • Paid Holidays (8 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
