ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN I WTRS- Fort Knox, Kentucky

Job Summary:
Electronics Technician I will follow the guidance of the Electronics Technician III that he is assigned to support ensuring the full spectrum of range support is provided to enable successful gunnery/range training events. The Electronics Technician I applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance / direction from Electronics Technician III or higher-level technician based on Site Managers Taskings. Work is checked frequently for accuracy.
Required Hours:
Standard work week will be five (5) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day while at work site(s), for a standard 40-hour work week. Additional hours and varying shifts may be required to support scheduled gunnery events.
Requirements:
Requires the ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels. Performs other duties as required.

Sweeping, mopping, empty trash
Ground maintenance
Line of sight maintenance
Weed mowing & trimming at all SITS, SATS, MITS, MATS, Hull Downs, Battle Positions and facilities
Weed trimming / pulling Vehicles
Cleaning exterior, interior, and windows, uploading work stock, downloading work stock and target repair waste
Performs user level PMCS and repairs
IPU approximately equivalent to Crew level maintenance.
Monthly and annual PMCS
Installation, removal, battery checks and replacement
User level diagnostics, cleaning, repair, cable repair, packing, and unpacking TADSS
Daily, monthly, and annual PMCS
Installation, removal, battery checks and replacement
Diagnostics, LRU replacement, cleaning, repair, cable repair
Target Fabrication, assembly, repair, painting, installing thermal blankets and installing lifters.
Operate System Control (SYSCON), Exercise Control (EXCON), Scenario Development Tool (SDT), Area Weapons Scoring System (AWSS) Workstation, and Theater Podium Workstation (PWS) for Unit validation, walkthroughs, and Training Events
Conducts Range Tests, target thermal checks, maintenance and repairs for day to night or night to day transition
Description:
Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, and feel. Must be able to read, write, speak, hear and understand English. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Work is subject to high noise levels and vibration. Work is performed in an environment with high dust, pollen, and wind. Requires physical presence around high voltage, machinery, and unprotected heights. Work may require protective clothing and equipment for feet, hands, head, eyes, and ears. Ability to lift and carry items not to exceed 50 lbs. Physical dexterity to push/pull, climb/balance, bend/stoop, twist/turn, kneel/crouch, crawl, reach overhead, grasp, use feet for foot controls. Ability to stand unaided for eight (8) hours or more. Must have a Valid State Driver’s License and retain Post Driving Privileges. Must be able to acquire a Government Common Access Card (CAC). Can Travel up to 50%. Knowledge of range operations Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines while adhering to all applicable safety guidelines and installation Standardized Operating Procedures Experience working with military units. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork. Ability to exercise good judgment and insight, to understand the overall effect of decisions. Ability to prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels.
Clearance Requirement:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance.
