Production Line Leader

Opportunity The Production Line Leader position is responsible for overseeing a production line within an Assembly and Contract Packaging plant, ensuring maximum productivity and quality.
Swing shift: 3 pm–11 pm, Monday‑Friday
Grave shift: 11 pm–7 am, Monday‑Friday
Pay Rate: $19.25/hour with a 50‑cent shift differential
Responsibilities
Use the Work Order as a guide to individual job requirements and specifications.
Set up the line or assist with line set‑up using the line diagram.
Manage inventory control, tracking and reconciliation of customer product and components, ensuring correct placement on the line and appropriate supply for shift completion.
Assign temporary staffing service employees to tasks as outlined in the work order and train them accordingly.
Oversee and monitor production flow, troubleshoot problems, make equipment adjustments, recommend and implement line improvements, and direct temporary staff labor issues to the Assembly Supervisor.
Motivate temporary staff to maintain maximum productivity and meet production goals.
Ensure finished products meet all specifications and perform hourly quality checks to verify adherence to company policies, SOPs and CGMPs, job‑specific and customer‑specific instructions.
Accurately maintain all production paperwork, record and reconcile temporary staff labor hours, and enter production data into the computer system.
Maintain line cleanliness through good housekeeping practices.
Ensure safety on the line and adherence to all safety rules and programs; attend required safety training.
Communicate with other departments—warehouse, maintenance, quality assurance—when needed and keep the supervisor informed of line issues.
Oversee overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
Work efficiently and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Perform overtime as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Effective communication with management and team members.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to perform tasks under pressure within a deadline‑driven environment.
Attention to detail.
General fluency in English, verbal and written.
Ability to interpret instructions in written, verbal, diagram, or scheduled form.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 50 lb intermittently during a typical shift.
Observe established safety guidelines when performing physical tasks.
Wear protective equipment as required.
