Job Description Summary The machine repair person will repair, install, adjust and follow all work instructions on work assignments given to them to maintain industrial production machinery. The goal is to ensure the machines are up and running in a timely manner.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide variety of manual and CNC machine tools and associated equipment.

Maintain, repair, adjust and modify complicated machine tool equipment.

Analyze and troubleshoot equipment to pinpoint malfunctions.

Read, interpret and follow intricate blueprints and instruction manuals for hydraulic and mechanical apparatus of machine tools and process equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and incorporate modifications as required.

Repair mechanical assemblies such as precision ball screws, spindles, headstocks, lube pumps, transmissions, hydraulic systems, counterbalance cylinders, etc.

Perform all functions of repair and maintenance and may occasionally be required to make replacement parts.

Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures at all times.

Keep facilities, materials and work area clean and orderly using good housekeeping procedures.

Stay abreast of latest machine tool developments through training by shop supervisor or other related training/vendor training.

Strong oral and written communication skills.
