Complex Surgery Scheduler (Clinics & Surgery Center) Children’s Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. The Minneapolis surgery center is a Level I designated Pediatric Trauma center and hosts nine surgical suites and one procedure room.

Job Summary Scheduling surgery cases efficiently and accurately is an integral part of providing area surgeons and their patients a reliable and professional surgical department.

Responsibilities

Schedule surgeries for the Minneapolis surgery center, from routine procedures to complex, state‑of‑the‑art operations.

Coordinate preoperative and postoperative schedules with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and surgical technologists.

Maintain accurate surgical scheduling records in the hospital’s electronic medical record and scheduling system.

Ensure room and equipment availability for scheduled procedures.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize scheduling workflow and maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in health administration or related field is preferred.

Current scheduling experience with a preference for those with surgery scheduling experience.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with electronic medical records and scheduling software.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Benefits

Salary range: $45,000.00–$60,000.00.
