The IT Project Manager oversees various system projects and/or programs of a highly complex nature. This role involves assembling project teams, identifying resources, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion. The IT Project Manager actively manages stakeholder partnerships, mitigates risks, and ensures alignment with project objectives. When managing programs, the role oversees interdependencies and integration of related projects, setting strategies for long-term business value. Familiarity with SDLC and ITIL frameworks is essential for managing risks and issues unique to technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble project teams and identify appropriate resources needed for successful execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Actively manage stakeholder partnerships and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate team activities by understanding system scope, project objectives, and team member roles.
• Oversee interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects when managing programs.
• Set strategies and program execution plans to deliver long-term business value.
• Apply knowledge of SDLC and ITIL frameworks to manage risks and issues.
• Make decisions regarding work approach and priorities while following documented procedures and standards.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Less than X years of technical experience.
• Demonstrated experience in technical product selection, technical design, and practical implementation of IT solutions.
• Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
• Longevity working in data warehouse, decision support, and reporting system environments.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and IBM Relational Database Management Systems, executive information systems, and statistical software packages.
• Comprehensive knowledge of development languages, tools, and utilities, including Cobol, CICS, DB, ASP, COM, .Net, and SQL.
• Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification.
• Experience in the health solutions industry.
