SAIC is seeking junior Operations Managers to join our team supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E). The successful candidates will provide technical management and leadership to efficiently and effectively run daily front office operations for OUSW(R&E) leadership. These positions are ideal for candidates who have experience with Department of War front office operations and are eager to take on a greater leadership role supporting R&E’s exciting mission.
These positions are full time on site in Arlington, VA.
These positions are contingent upon contract award anticipated in late 2025 / early 2026.
Job Description:
Coordinate and monitor action and task assignments, establishing completion dates, and assist with escalation as needed.
Facilitate teamwork among office staff to ensure cross-collaboration, meeting preparation, scheduling, task execution, and follow up.
Develop resource plans to accomplish tasks efficiently while managing competing priorities.
Recommend and implement modifications to current administrative and operational procedures and policies to improve efficiency for customers.
Maintain and develop office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Implement process changes through mentoring, counseling, and training office staff.
Develop executive-level status and summary briefings.
Develop and document decision support documents for senior customers.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a management or technical discipline (e.g. Science, Mathematics, or Engineering field).
Three (3) years of experience as an Operations Manager is required. Highly preferred experience and skills in project management, operational management, strategy development and planning, and executive decisions support.
Required Clearance:
Active TS/SCI.
Required Skills:
Expert level skills in management tools including MS Office suite.
Ability to execute effectively in DoW staff environments and at the most senior levels of the Department.
Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and tasks, and deliver high quality and timely results and work products.
