WHAT YOU’LL DO The Line Cook plays a critical role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences by executing dishes with precision, consistency, and craftsmanship according to specifications. Working in a fast‑paced, high‑standards kitchen environment, the Line Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to exact specifications, and maintaining impeccable station organization and cleanliness. Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipe specifications, presentation standards, and culinary techniques.
Maintain full knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, flavor profiles, and preparation methods.
Execute dishes with precision, consistency, and speed, even during high‑volume service periods.
Ensure portion control, temperature accuracy, and flavor integrity for every plate leaving the station.
Follow direction from the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to uphold kitchen excellence.
Set up and stock assigned station with all necessary set up, tools, and equipment before each service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout service.
Properly label, date, and store all ingredients and prepared components.
Break down station at the end of service, storing items properly and leaving the area clean and ready for the next shift.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or equipment needs to kitchen leadership.
Work collaboratively with fellow cooks, chefs, and expediters to ensure smooth service flow.
Communicate clearly during service to ensure accurate timing and coordination of dishes.
Support team members by assisting other stations when needed or during peak demand.
Accept feedback, coaching, and guidance with a growth‑oriented mindset.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices in compliance with local health regulations and company standards.
Handle food, equipment, and utensils safely and professionally at all times.
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks assigned by kitchen leadership.
Uphold high standards of personal cleanliness and professional appearance.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
3+ years of line cook or culinary experience in a fine‑dining or upscale kitchen.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with a wide range of cooking techniques.
Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency across all dishes.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient under pressure.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and long shifts when needed.
Culinary degree or formal training is a plus but not required for skilled candidates.
