IT Technician – Civil Aviation Programs
Spectrum Software Technology (SST)
Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is seeking experienced IT Technicians to support our Civil Aviation Programs as part of our Tech Refresh Team. This role provides hands‑on technical support for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facilities nationwide and requires strong hardware experience and some Linux knowledge.
Location Onsite work is required at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, adjacent to Atlantic City International Airport, in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, with approximately 50% travel to FAA facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hardware installations and technical support for FAA Centers, TRACONs, and Towers
Install and configure servers according to site‑specific requirements
Set up, install, and configure printers, routers, and switches
Perform network updates in technology labs supporting the TFMS Tech Refresh Project
Monitor, test, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
Provide systems administration and end‑user support
Support server hardware, operating systems, and network equipment
Required Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in a technical field with 2+ years of experience, or 4+ years of relevant IT experience
Strong hardware troubleshooting and installation skills
Working knowledge of routers, switches, and networking equipment
Basic to intermediate Linux experience
General IT support and systems administration experience
Ability to travel up to 50%
Ability to work onsite in Egg Harbor Township, NJ
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required
