Position Overview This role requires a valid CDL license with Tanker endorsement. The operator will drive and operate an Asphalt Distributor on road‑construction projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Set the spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi‑automatic distributors to apply liquid asphalt.
Oil, grease, service, and perform normal operating adjustments to equipment.
Maintain efficient working condition of the equipment, perform minor servicing and maintenance, and refer major problems to the supervisor.
Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string lines, and adding or removing screed extensions.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Perform basic arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure.
Pass DOT physical and drug screening.
Qualifications
Current CDL license, preferably with Tanker endorsement.
Ability to learn how to operate an Asphalt Distributor Truck.
Valid DOT physical and drug screen certification.
