How you make a difference As a Licensed Mental Health Professional in a correctional facility, you conduct intake evaluations, provide therapeutic interventions, develop treatment plans, monitor clinical needs, train staff, and document findings in accordance with company and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct screenings, assessments, triages, and make appropriate recommendations for inmate care.
Develop treatment plans and deliver psychoeducational and transitional groups with suicide prevention interventions.
Respond to sick calls, provide medication adherence, and coordinate medication evaluations with prescribers.
Provide crisis intervention, oversee clinical needs, and participate in multidisciplinary and administrative meetings.
Train staff on mental health topics, document findings, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related mental health discipline.
Experience:
One or more years in a mental health treatment program, preferably in a correctional or hospital setting.
Licenses/Certifications:
Unrestricted, current state license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, Psychologist). Maintain all licensures, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
