Overview
Inventory Cycle Counter
at Foot Locker.
The Cycle Counter is primarily responsible for accurate and efficient handling and counting of merchandise. The position collects and analyzes data to ensure accuracy, corrects data and/or merchandise when an error is identified, and records required information on RF devices, products, warehouse management systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
All Cycle Count associates must be able to meet the certification requirements for machines that lift the operator up to 30 feet, including all OSHA and harness regulations. Only high-rising machines are utilized for this position.
1st shift: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm
Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Safely operate lift power equipment within the distribution center, including order picker, reach truck, swing reach truck, scissor lift, and any other machines as needed.
Safely utilize a ladder to facilitate counting items.
Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at the beginning of shift, checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
Maneuver equipment in and around tight corners, through staging areas, and around pedestrian traffic in a safe manner.
Perform routine inspection on assigned equipment, refer defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; clean equipment.
Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
Bring problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director, or HR manager.
Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientation and trainings.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required to stand (stationary position) and walk during scheduled hours. Hours often include weekends, evenings and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly required to communicate using various methods.
Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly and 25-40 pounds occasionally and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed.
Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as needed.
Must meet the certification and operating requirements for machines including all OSHA and harness regulations.
Based on business necessity, associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 6 months of previous equipment operations experience highly preferred.
Basic proficiency in speaking and understanding English to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills and effectively communicate in case of emergencies.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to read, write, operate RF device, conduct business‑related mathematics, and analyze data as required.
