Position Summary Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This role assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The position includes two shifts, with the morning shift dedicated to replenishing product and the clerk responsible for customer assistance throughout the entire shift. The clerk also maintains cleanliness of the department.
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service.
Lend support to the community and help shoppers find products.
Love food and maintain high standards of presentation.
Assist customers throughout the shift.
Clean, fill, and rotate bulk deli displays.
Maintain cleanliness of the department.
Lift and move up to 60 lbs. as needed.
Qualifications
Read and write Spanish and English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.; frequently up to 45 lbs.; occasionally up to 60 lbs.
Desired (Optional) Skills
Basic PC/Outlook skills.
Retail Management Certificate.

Requirements Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
