Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm–2 am. In this role you are responsible for repairing machinery and actively participating in maintenance, failure avoidance, failure elimination, and continuous improvement functions.
What Success Looks Like
Complete preventative maintenance safely and procedurally.
Knowledge of electrical, PLCs, and schematics.
Operate basic and advanced shop tools to maintain or repair equipment.
Have a clear understanding of Lockout Tagout (LOTO).
Maintain written documentation of work performed.
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to train others as needed.
Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and hydraulic schematics.
Experience with fabrication, changing out cylinders, oils, solvents, greases.
General construction knowledge.

The hourly wage starts at $24.00 per hour with an additional $2.50 per hour in shift differential.
