Role Summary The Customer Service Agent is an essential team member who assists guests with their travel needs at Alaska Airlines. In a fast‑paced environment, you will respond to inquiries and perform tasks in ticketing, check‑in, and boarding areas. This union‑represented position requires flexible scheduling and a commitment to delivering superior service.

Key Duties

Assist guests with travel needs, including answering inquiries, ticketing, checking‑in passengers, and boarding flights.

Sell tickets and ensure cabin accommodations meet passenger and airline requirements.

Complete computer, iPad, and paperwork tasks accurately and efficiently.

Prepare flights by arranging seat assignments, load, special meals, and upgrades.

Perform boarding and gate duties: checking tickets, assisting and directing passengers, making announcements, verifying aircraft compliance, and confirming cabin security.

Process and secure passenger luggage.

Assist with other duties assigned by management to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Six months of customer service or community service experience.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.

Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. consistently.

Physical ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp as required.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Willingness to participate in paid training.

Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.

Adaptability to perform work according to set procedures.

Anticipate needs of others in a fast‑paced environment.

Communication proficiency in English.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age of 18.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Tattoo Policy Visible tattoos on the face, front of the neck, or chest are prohibited. One tattoo the size of a quarter or smaller is allowed per hand. Tattoos in other areas may not be larger than a credit card and cannot be offensive. Tattoos on the back of the neck and behind the ears are permitted only if not visible when looking directly at the employee. Tattoos can be covered by a uniform piece or approved jewelry/watch; makeup coverage is not permitted.
