Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work‑study student in the Career Services department on the Gainesville campus. Provide customer service in a timely manner to students and faculty. Assist in campus events and workshops. Interact with students, employers, and faculty via email and phone. Maintain information in files and process paperwork.

Responsibilities

Learn about resources, events, and programs that Career Services offers to assist in Marketing.

Warmly greet visitors and those phoning Career Services; respond promptly to email inquiries, providing courteous service in answering questions, scheduling appointments, checking in students, and referring individuals to appropriate resources, departments, or staff.

Help to create promotional materials for events and workshops.

Maintain files.

Input data using Excel.

Knowledge and Attributes

Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and creativity.

Ability to travel across campus and post materials inside and outside buildings.

Ability to learn about programs, resources, and events offered by Career Services.

Required Qualifications

Be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
