Staff Psychologist – Boys Town Behavioral Health Clinic

Overview Boys Town is a national non‑profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. This role provides psychological treatment and assessment services to families referred to the Behavioral Health Clinic, supporting the mission of compassionate, evidence‑based care.

Major Responsibilities & Duties

Deliver direct clinical services to children, adolescents, and families.

Provide psychological therapeutic services each week and meet monthly productivity expectations (e.g., 25‑35 client appointments).

Conduct cognitive, psychoeducational, and psycho‑physical assessments and offer clinical consultation.

Maintain and expand a referral base with community providers, schools, and pediatricians.

Obtain and maintain ongoing education in clinical psychology, behavioral pediatrics, and clinical assessment, including CE opportunities.

Required Qualifications

Independent license or licensable status (Psychologist, Counselor, Mental Health Practitioner, LMFT, LCSW).

Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of developmental and behavioral concerns in children and adolescents, including ADHD, behavior disorders, sleep disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, academic problems, and ASDs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Expertise in behavioral pediatrics, behavioral and cognitive‑behavioral theories.

Strong clinical diagnostic skills and ability to evaluate standardized psychological tests.

Competence in conducting therapy, evaluations, and administering assessments.

Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and professional collaboration skills.

Ability to uphold confidentiality and professional ethics.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance for work within a normal office environment with occasional interruptions and potential verbal or physical threats.

Typical work involves minimal exposure to physical risks; occasional outside environmental conditions may arise.

Additional duties may be assigned by supervision to meet organizational needs.
