Kent Precision Foods Group, a member of the Kent Corporation family of companies, has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Lead Quality Control Technician. This critical role will be responsible for conducting product analysis and inspection as assigned, following Work Instructions to ensure that products and packaging meet set quality standards. The technician must work in a plant environment at ambient temperatures, communicate with the manufacturing team, and act when a process is out of quality limits. The Lead Quality Control Technician will also handle all lab technician responsibilities and communicate with other QC technicians regarding issues, questions, and process changes on the 2nd shift.

Primary Duties:

Perform product and packaging analysis as designated for the assigned process.

Document testing and package verifications on an electronic table.

Must have good people skills working as a team.

Perform duties as assigned.

Must be able to communicate and take action when a process is out of its control limits.

Perform monthly warehouse audits.

Complete quality incident reports as required.

Operate and perform tasks in the safety chain system.

Verify and validate HACCP plan as required.

Complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner.

Maintain a good attendance record.

Adhere to all safety practices as set forth by OSHA.

Adhere to the HACCP Food Defense Plan.

Adhere to all Good Manufacture Practice as set in the KPFG GMP Plan.

Provide leadership for all quality personnel on 2nd shift.

Communicate with all Quality Control Technicians throughout the shift to keep things running and ensure that all production stays within QC specifications.

Conduct all analytical testing in the lab as required, and maintain documentation in AX, Labsoft and Safety Chain.

Diagnose and correct problems in AX, Labsoft and Safety Chain.

Qualifications And Skills Minimum of an Associate; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be computer literate, able to operate a tablet computer, and possess strong time‑management skills. Prefer manufacturing experience with a quality focus. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold conditions and be able to supervise others.
