The
Electrical Maintenance Technician
will be a key member of the Operations team at our UHT facility with focus on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, automation, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment failures or malfunctions promptly to minimize production interruptions. This role will conduct preventative maintenance activities while collaborating with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance plans and procedures for improved equipment performance and reliability.
2nd Shift : Monday–Friday, 2:30PM–11:00PM
Training:
Train on 1st shift (6:30AM–3:00PM) for about 3 weeks before moving to 2nd shift
Flexibility:
We can accommodate early-morning commitments during training; start times may range 6:30–9:00AM
Primary Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, automation, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment failures or malfunctions promptly to minimize production interruptions
Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, including but not limited to rotary machines, conveyor systems, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and other production equipment in a timely manner to identify potential issues, defects or malfunctions
Operation, troubleshoot, and repair of Steam, Refrigeration, and Wastewater systems
Conduct regular preventive maintenance activities according to a predefined schedule to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
Utilize diagnostic tools, equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical resources to troubleshoot, identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance plans and procedures for improved equipment performance and reliability.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts inventory, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Utilize SAP for completing Purchase requisitions
Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations while performing maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Coordinate with other team members, equipment vendors and external contractors for specialized repairs or technical assistance as needed
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Train and assist operators in equipment maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques
Prior Knowledge/Experience
At least 5+ years of hand-on mechanical maintenance experience
H.S. Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, automation (PLC), VFDs (inverters and drives), mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments
Solid understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices
Stainless Steel and Sanitary Welding skills is a plus
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex equipment issues and find practical solutions
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for recording and tracking maintenance activities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in an industrial environment
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support production schedules and respond to emergencies
Boiler Experience – NJ Blue or Black Seal Boiler License is a plus
Physical Demands: Occasional lift up to 50lbs, rarely up to 75lbs with assistance; comfortable working at elevated heights; sitting, climbing/balancing, stooping/twisting, kneeling, squatting, crawling, push/pull, reaching, and gripping; frequent standing, walking, and visual acuity (near/far)
Environmental Conditions: Occasional exposure to uneven ground, excessive noise, extreme temperatures, working at heights, dust/fumes, and hazards; frequent exposure to machinery

Compensation for this role is hourly and will be based on your experience, skills, and location, with a typical range between $27.31 - $40.96.
Additional compensation earned through a 5 % targeted annual bonus. Amount based on personal and company performance.
