Base pay range $15.00/hr - $36.00/hr
Responsibilities
Disassemble vehicles to expose and assess damage; document repairs and parts needed.
Prepare surfaces by sandblasting equipment and components, taping and masking as needed.
Mix paints and operate painting equipment (guns, compressors, paint booths, etc.).
Paint various assets or components to an automotive finish, maintaining high quality standards.
Clean, degrease and prime components; perform finishing and detailing.
Assemble and disassemble components and parts as needed.
Maintain accurate paint logs and compliance paperwork.
Work with parts department to ensure material availability.
Ensure all painting and sandblasting areas are in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Provide inventory and inspection reports to management as requested.
Education / Experience High school diploma + specialized training or 1 year of college technical school focusing on repair/refinishing of commercial trucks and trailers.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial painting experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Good communication skills.
Independent judgment and initiative in performing assigned duties.
Experience in commercial painting of trucks, trailers, and miscellaneous equipment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform heavy physical tasks.
Capacity to operate painting and sandblasting equipment and hand tools.
Working knowledge of welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools.
