Location: Norfolk, NE

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid – part‑time onsite, part‑time off‑site)

Position Summary Coordinates the day‑to‑day operations and oversight of all simulation‑based education (SBE) for the designated University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Nursing Division. The individual is responsible for educational technology, equipment, resources, personnel, processes, and infrastructure essential for an efficient and effective teaching/learning environment.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Healthcare, Educational/Instructional Technology, Business/Public Administration or related field.

Experience:

2 years of related technical support experience in an educational environment, including managing multiple projects.

Computer Applications:

Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook.

Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Commitment to working in a professional, collaborative, and diverse team environment.

Demonstrated knowledge and application of instructional design principles, learning theory, online learning strategies, and technology integration.

Demonstrated experience in using sound instructional design principles when interacting with faculty and staff to ensure effective skills training delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

Healthcare, Educational/Instructional Technology, Business/Public Administration or related field.

Experience:

Designing, developing, and supporting simulation instructional activities, preferably in a health education or higher education setting.

Higher education teaching experience.

Coordinating, managing, or leading people and projects.

Evaluating and improving technology‑based educational programs.

Experience with B‑Line or similar clinical simulation capture/management system.

License:

Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist Certification.

Computer Applications:

Android and Apple applications.

Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Experience designing, developing and supporting multimedia instructional activities and simulation, preferably in a health education or higher education setting.

Faculty and staff development experience.

Participation in professional associations and organizations (membership, conferences, presentations, publications, grants, etc.).
