Georgia‑Pacific has an immediate need for a self‑motivated and knowledgeable Maintenance Technician to support our North Las Vegas facility. Compensation & Schedule
Starts at $34.00 per hour. The position requires 12‑hour shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Relocation benefits may be available. Plant Address
Georgia‑Pacific Las Vegas 11401 US Highway 91 Las Vegas, NV 89165 Responsibilities
Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, and dismantling industrial machinery and mechanical equipment Performing periodic maintenance routines—including lubricating machines and equipment—to improve reliability and uptime Participating in a Preventative Maintenance (PM) program Collaborating with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs Recording work results and parts usage in a computerized maintenance management system Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participating in the safety program Maintaining accurate maintenance logs, including labor hours and critical preventative maintenance findings Basic Qualifications
Mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, or military environment Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors, rollers, pulleys, and shafts Preferred Qualifications
Experience with precision equipment installation, alignment fundamentals, and machinery lubrication Five (5) or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment Experience with fabricating, torch cutting, and arc welding Technical degree or higher in a Mechanical Maintenance program Experience reading blueprints and making precision measurements Experience using a computer for record‑keeping and documentation functions Benefits
