Job Summary Schedules and confirms all receiving appointments for the site while observing safety, ensuring quality, and supporting efficient product flow. Provides administrative support with communication, paperwork, and data entry, and works as a team member within the department and organization to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities
Schedules and confirms all receiving appointments and notifies appropriate personnel of any changes; updates appointments in the system by cut‑off time.
Verifies, adjusts, and reconciles quantities, catch weights, lot numbers, and expiration dates on product received into the warehouse.
Sets up new vendors on routes; provides directions to vendor locations and relays appointment requirements to both the vendor and driver as needed.
Contacts vendors and merchandisers regarding short/over product received.
Keys receivers into the system; verifies receiving report and files reports.
Verifies purchase orders from drivers and reviews outstanding POs.
Prints receiving worksheets and pallet labels; assists with “will calls” involving invoicing, accounts receivable, and special shipments, and assists with inventory control as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
6–12 months of warehouse receiving, administrative support, and data entry experience.
