Summary / Objective The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of the whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials and vacuum truck operations. The Operator will be responsible for driving and operating efficiently and safely all power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up all necessary equipment in accordance with operation training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
Work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
Manually clean, install, fit, repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc.
Wash and clean company equipment – pressure wash, clean cabs, etc.
General housekeeping – sweeping floors, taking out trash, and helping keep work areas clean and organized.
Help with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs – return equipment and PPE back to designated areas.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
1 year of experience behind an 18‑wheeler required.
Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Capability to drive manual transmission in addition to automatic.
Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain one.
Pass a personal background screen.
Pass an MVR background screen.
Operator runs under the FMCSA 70‑hour rule.
Ability to travel for extended periods of time.
Willing to respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week as needed.
Willing to perform all required job duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
Willing to understand and follow all given directions.
Physical Requirements
Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Stand and/or walk continuously for long periods.
Climb, balance, bend, stoop, and kneel as needed.
Work in all inclement weather conditions.
