We’re here to better our world with biology. Join us as our new Blending Operator. This role is responsible for operating in the Blending department and works 1st shift (Monday-Thursday, 5am to 3pm).
In This Role You'll Make An Impact By
Setting up (assembling and disassembling), operating, adjusting, cleaning and sanitizing equipment to produce products within quality standards and according to procedures.
Accurately measuring and mixing raw materials following batch production recipes and formulations.
Performing minimal maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment as required, and when appropriate.
Assisting others in the areas trained as required by production demands or by direction of the Supervisor.
Printing and applying labels to product.
Verifying lot and batch numbers and maintains accurate production records, and equipment logs.
Assisting with developing and improving SOPs.
Participating in continuous improvement activities using Lean concepts and principles.
Troubleshooting and/or identifying equipment failures or problems.
Taking necessary samples for QC testing as needed.
Completing necessary paperwork and/or data entry for production and/or inventory records.
To Succeed You Must Hold
HS diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the production process including conversion of weight and volume in the metric system.
Ability to read and follow a production journal to produce batches.
Ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift, preferred.
Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of the production process.
Basic computer skills. ERP system knowledge (SAP), preferred.
