Responsibilities
Supervises the provision of assistance to persons served in order to promote their physical, social, and psychological well‑being, ensuring staff interactions promote the rights of the persons served to achieve an enhanced quality of life.
Ensures that each person served has an activity schedule developed, implemented, and that staff follow procedures to promote optimum health care and behavior supports, including implementation of services outlined in the service plan and staff training.
Monitors and ensures staff complete all required documentation to ensure quality services.
Monitors labor hours and ensures assigned service sites operate within budgetary guidelines.
Responsible for client funds, receipts, and proper documentation.
Ensures staff are deployed appropriately and that staffing ratios comply with regulatory and service plan requirements.
Prepares and posts schedules in a timely manner and efficiently utilizes staff.
Conducts timely performance reviews and staff counseling, including corrective actions and improvement plans.
Provides timely feedback and oversight on staff documentation, including daily progress notes, data sheets, and incident reports.
Assists with review and tracking of incident and accident reports and participates as needed in investigations involving persons served and employees.
Ensures Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance standards are met and all related training occurs. Documents training and compliance per company and regulatory requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BA/BS in Business, Health Care Administration, Social Science, or high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience of 3 years.
One year of supervisory experience required.
Preferred experience providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or related disorders.
Experience managing systems, processes, and people.
Must meet all agency pre‑employment requirements as required by company or state regulations.
Depending on location, certification as a Food Service Director may be required.
