The EMT/Ambulance Operator is responsible for providing safe and timely transport of the CCT staff and family of patients being transported between facilities. They will provide basic maintenance to the CCT vehicles and maintain state required supply levels. They may assist the registered nurse/paramedic with patient care as outlined by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Responsibilities Transport CCT staff and patient families between facilities, maintain vehicle and supply levels, assist RN/Paramedic with patient care per state EMS guidelines.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience driving emergency vehicles in emergency traffic, required.
Licensure/Certification:
Current NC EMT Certification, required.
Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operations Class or Equivalent, required.
Additional required skills: Operating knowledge of emergency vehicles equivalent to Novant Health Critical Care Transport ambulances; radio communications skill; map reading and interpretation; proven reliability, dependability, competency; at least 21 years of age; NC DMV driving record meets corporate insurance requirements.
Additional preferred skill: Knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
