Position
Order Selector (1st shift)
– Saputo Inc.
Shift and Compensation 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay $26.34 per hour plus a $2.00 hourly shift differential for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.
Responsibilities
Performs trailer inspections for all inbound and outbound orders, ensuring trailers are properly secured before entry, temperature requirements are met, and food safety and quality regulations are followed.
Loads and unloads product using Radio Frequency scanners, maintaining accuracy and completeness of paperwork and collaborating with the shift supervisor, quality control, and inventory control to address discrepancies.
Receives product from incoming purchase orders or intra‑company stock transfers, verifying case counts, code dates, pallet counts, condition, and recording any damage from transit.
Ensures overall quality of outbound shipments, correct weight distribution within trailers, accuracy, and compliance.
Puts away received product into storage locations, replenishes pick locations, and performs full pallet picking for customer orders.
Completes daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection, ensuring safe operation and reporting any concerns to maintenance personnel or the shift supervisor.
Understands and follows Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo’s food safety and quality programs, and regulatory requirements.
Promptly reports all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to the management team.
Attends and participates in all required training, shift meetings, and committees.
Qualifications
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Willingness to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Basic math skills.
Demonstrated work history.
Confidence in a fast‑paced environment.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds; work in cold environments and around moving equipment.
Good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors.
Ability to operate material handling equipment.
Physical and Position Requirements
Work in a warehouse environment with noise, cold temperatures, standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, and continuous maneuvering around material handling equipment.
Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted continuously during the shift.
Wear personal protective equipment and follow all established procedures.
Maintain good visual acuity, including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Fine manipulation and hand dexterity including grip, squeeze, handling, and reaching with hands and arms.
Ability to work overtime on a daily and/or weekly basis.
