Heartland Dental is looking for a Business Assistant to join our team at Hidden Meadows Dental Care. The position’s schedule is Monday 8:00 am‑6:00 pm; Tuesday & Wednesday 7:00 am‑5:00 pm; Thursday 6:30 am‑4:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
About the Role
Greet and welcome patients to create a great first impression.
Answer phones, check office mail and email, and communicate with patients and insurance companies.
Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
File patient insurance claims; follow up on outstanding claims and verify benefits.
Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivables.
Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience working in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Understanding of PHI and readiness for regular HIPAA training.
Preferred Experience
1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting.
1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.
Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically.
TB test required for all new hires for dental office positions, except in FL & TN.
