Assignment Length: 26 weeks (must continue through May 2026)
Start Date: November 17, 2025
Shift: Night shifts, 3×12-hour (19:00
07:00)
Hours per Week: 36
Setting: 30-bed Orthopedic Trauma Unit, Level II Trauma Center
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Floating: May float between units and sister facilities as needed
Weekends: As needed
Dress Code: Solid navy blue scrubs for RNs
Parking: Free employee/visitor parking available
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
Previous travel nursing experience required
Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
Community hospital experience required
Trauma Level II experience preferred
BLS certification required
Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response/code team participation, and blood product administration
Skills in wound care, wound vac management, orthopedic trauma, and post-op patient management
Two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years
Willingness to float as needed
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a 30-bed orthopedic trauma unit
Manage post-operative patients, blood administration, wound vacs, and orthopedic trauma cases
Perform phlebotomy, patient lifting/transfers, and pressure injury prevention
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response
Document patient care using the Epic EMR system
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and isolation precautions
Float to other nursing units or sister healthcare facilities as required
Participate in orientation and complete all required modules prior to start
