Job Title: Sr HR Manager

Job Summary The Senior HR Manager serves as the Human Resources leader for Sustainable Beef in North Platte, Nebraska. This role is responsible for leading day‑to‑day HR operations, supporting plant leadership, and ensuring consistent application of HR practices across the organization. The Senior HR Manager operates at the plant‑leadership level and is expected to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and leadership in addressing employee relations, compliance, and workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Plant Support : Serve as a primary HR advisor to plant leadership, supervisors, and employees; provide guidance on HR practices, employee relations, and workforce matters; ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices across departments and shifts.
Employee Relations & Investigations : Conduct workplace investigations involving employee relations concerns, misconduct, and policy violations; provide recommendations on corrective actions and support leadership; ensure investigations are timely, neutral, and documented.
Compliance Support : Support compliance with employment laws; assist with audits, recordkeeping, and documentation; stay informed on regulatory changes.
Policy & Program Administration : Maintain and apply HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook; support updates; answer policy questions.
Recruitment, Employment & Workforce Support : Support recruiting and hiring; assist with job changes, compensation actions, and employment documentation; monitor workforce trends for retention and engagement improvement.
HR Systems, Reporting & Coordination : Use HR systems to maintain accurate records; review HR data; coordinate with Payroll, Finance, and partners on processes.
Talent Development & Engagement : Support supervisor development; participate in succession planning; contribute to continuous improvement of people practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Progressive HR experience supporting employee relations and HR operations.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work on‑site in a production environment.
Preferred
HR experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or food processing environments.
Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages common in the workforce).
HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
