Careers At Ameritech Facility Services The Warehouse Associate will manage the warehouse operations and staff as well as participate in a variety of general warehouse activities including but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, Order Filling, Merchandise Handling, Packing and Processing, Fulfillment and Warehousing.

Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment

Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse

Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads

Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees

Loading and unloading materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, or trucks

Assisting with inventory cycle-counting

Negotiate tariffs/rates with shipper and LTL freight companies

Determine best price and method of shipment to meet customer deadlines

Prepare packing lists and shippers

Receive shipments - Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders

Contact transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders.

May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods

Maintain internal record-keeping systems

Build, assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions

Pick up materials as needed

Know safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials

Takes inventory, maintains storage area, organize and place stock on shelves or shop floor. Ensure area is secure at all times.

Keep a safe & clean work environment: keep shelves, pallet areas, floors, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and wipe down when and where necessary. Maintain or advise when equipment needs special attention.

Ensure safety procedures are being followed

Conduct Quality Control before products are shipped
