Social Worker – MSW – Liver Transplant
Position: Social Worker – MSW – Liver Transplant at Cedars‑Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA).
Department: Social Work Services.
Base Pay: $40.82 – $63.27 per hour.
Shift: Day (Monday – Friday), 8 hour per day.
Job Description This role provides a full range of social work services in collaboration with other Cedars‑Sinai staff to meet psychosocial and discharge planning needs of patients, families, and significant others during liver transplant care. It requires active participation in department continuing education and staff development programs, program planning, and organization of social work activities.
Responsibilities
Psychosocial evaluation – identification of problems affecting patient care and development of a treatment plan.
Crisis intervention.
Individual and family counseling.
Discharge planning and case coordination.
Interdisciplinary discussion of psychosocial implications of illness, consultation regarding treatments and resources.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with community health, welfare, and social agencies.
Initiate program planning and development in assigned services/programs.
Qualifications Experience Requirements
Two (2) or more years of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
Educational Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of Social Work with a master’s degree.
Licenses/Certifications
Prefer LCSW.
