Responsibilities, purpose & scope of the position: This position is part of the corporate finance team and will be responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day accounting activities for DISA’s Belgian entities remain compliant with Belgian GAAP and corporate guidelines. In addition to this, (s)he will assist with controlling and reporting activities of the DISA GROUP international entities.

Operationally: Finance Director

Functionally: Finance Director

Core relationships:

Internal: Finance Team, Managing Directors, Project Leads, HR, Finance & HR Director

Experience, Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or other related field.

Minimum 3 years job related experience.

Working knowledge of Business Central Finance (Dynamics 365 Business Central).

Requirements:

Accurate, proactive and hands‑on.

Well organized, able to independently plan working schedule and manage priorities.

Ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment.

Ability to maintain an overview and go into detail when required.

Effective communication skills whilst maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

Strong knowledge of MS office applications: e.g. Excel.

Excellent team player and ability to coach & guide team members and/or personnel within the organization on finance related matters when required.

Strong technical accounting background.

Ability to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Accounting activities DISA Group:

Processing of bank statements

Processing of payroll

Preparation of VAT and intra-communal VAT for review; periodic filing of VAT

Ensuring timely month end closings and annual closings for DISA International Group, which includes:

AP/AR accruals

Processing of unit allocation based on inputs received from Finance team

Processing of people cost allocation based on inputs HR / time registration tool

Oversee maintenance & controlling of depreciation tables

Alignment on intercompany open balances

Stock management & adjustments

Intercompany reconciliations

Prepare documentation and supporting evidence in preparation of the statutory financial audits + accommodate questions of financial auditors as and when needed.

Back‑up finance team members including other ad‑hoc activities as and when required.

Controlling activities DISA GROUP:

Ensure that accounts receivables are collected in due time for all EMEA entities.

Assist & support the preparation and analysis of weekly management reports (AR, AP, Cash Flow).

Assist & support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports on a monthly basis.

Support the preparation of budgets & forecasts as and when required.

Perform monthly variance analysis of actuals against the budget and forecasts and flag issues, highlight opportunities etc.

Highlight process issues and propose solutions to speed‑up, improve quality and accuracy of financial or other operational processes having an impact on the financial processes.

Other ad‑hoc controls as and when needed.
