Job Overview The System Nursing Initiatives Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supporting multiple system-level, strategic, and operational initiatives within the Center for Nursing Excellence. This includes the coordination and tracking of student pipeline programs, clinical advancement programs, transition-to-practice initiatives, and other system nursing projects. The incumbent will provide project management support to ensure timely execution of deliverables, stakeholder engagement, accurate reporting of key metrics, effective vendor coordination, and alignment with organizational goals. This position will serve as the central point of contact for assigned system nursing program tracking and reporting, while also supporting ad hoc projects, communications, and continuous improvement initiatives for the Center for Nursing Excellence in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, or related field.

Two (2) years of experience in project management, healthcare operations or project coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Certification (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, PMP).

Three (3) years in project management, healthcare operations or project coordination.

Experience with data tracking, reporting and stakeholder communication.

Experience using Excel, reporting tools and data management.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Program Coordination and Tracking

– Conduct operations of system nursing pipeline and advancement programs, including contract tracking, enrollment, financial transactions, and progress reporting. Coordinate tracking of key program indicators, maintain accurate records, and provide routine reports and dashboards on program participation, financial investments, and program outcomes. Monitor compliance with program guidelines and escalated issues as appropriate. Develop and maintain program manuals, workflows, and instructions to ensure standard work processes are documented, accessible, and consistently applied across program sites and in public-facing areas.

Project Management and Reporting

– Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and communication tools to support system nursing initiatives. Coordinate project meetings, develop agendas, document decisions, and ensure timely follow‑through. Prepare presentations, dashboards, reports, and communications for leadership and stakeholders.

Strategic Support and Continuous Improvement

– Monitor program participation and performance, identify barriers, and make recommendations for improvements. Support evaluation of outcomes, benchmarking, and long‑term sustainability of system nursing initiatives. Track project timelines, risk, and milestones; escalated issues as needed to maintain alignment with organizational goals.

Data and Reporting

– Maintain accurate databases and records for all assigned programs and projects. Develop and distribute dashboards on key performance indicators. Analyze data trends and stakeholder feedback to inform program improvement, project progress, and direction, and strategic decision‑making.

Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, sitting and using a computer. Occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 20 pounds.

Working Environment Standard Office equipment with frequent computer use.

Skills and Abilities

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint) and other data/reporting tools.

Strong analytical and data management skills, including the ability to develop dashboards, generate reports, and present findings clearly and concisely.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse stakeholders.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively across hospitals, disciplines, and levels of leadership.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Flexible, adaptable, and detail‑oriented, with the ability to navigate organizational change.

Comfortable liaising between hospitals, vendors, HR, finance, and other internal and external partners.
