Customer Service Representative – Home Healthcare Intake & Insurance Verification Rotech Healthcare Inc. seeks a compassionate and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients and referral sources. In this fast‑paced, patient‑centered environment you will manage accurate intake, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate durable medical equipment and respiratory services.

Responsibilities

Cooperate effectively with internal teams and external agencies to resolve patient issues and ensure continuity of care.

Communicate promptly with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and internal teams to resolve inquiries and deliver timely service.

Coordinate documentation and service setup for respiratory products and medical equipment.

Maintain organized records and referral logs in compliance with JCAHO and company standards.

Verify patient intake and insurance coverage (Medicare, Medicaid, private payers).

Manage several tasks simultaneously and maintain predictable and regular attendance.

Prepare and process documentation, including CMN, SOP, invoices, and delivery paperwork.

Provide technical assistance for walk‑in and retail equipment requests.

Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional on‑call coverage, company vehicle use, and home deliveries.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).

One year of related work experience (preferred).

Experience in home healthcare, medical billing, or patient intake (preferred).

Familiarity with insurance verification and reimbursement practices.

Knowledge of medical terminology and durable medical equipment is a plus.

Strong communication, problem‑solving, time‑management, and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Ability to lift and carry office and patient equipment (minimum 35 lbs).

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (when applicable).

Background check, drug screen, and compliance with credentialing process (when applicable).
